So, here it is at last. This is the link to my splash page for my website, and the culmination of everything I’ve done for Digital Portfolio here at UCMO in 2010. It has four sample galleries of work from various classes, my UK trip, and so on. The design is meant to be simple and easy to read, and once I’m working professionally I’ll probably go in and add lots of new content to browse as well as overhauling the contact and about section. I’ll probably also add in a page for videos since working on the one for class was a lot of fun, and the Canon Rebel t1i makes really great videos. For that video, look one post back under the digital portfolio category here on the blog. I also have a music video with images from my three years here at school, so you should check that out as well. Feel free to drop me a comment about my site, and if you like anything I’m always willing to talk. I hope you enjoy William Hill Photography’s website.
Digital Portfolio Website Review part 2
Gavin Gough’s website is colorful, uses simple backgrounds to keep focus on the image, and is a ProPhoto Blogsite. Click picture for site.
Ferenc Ecseki’s website is more of a blog, and can be a little overwhelming at first. It allows you to use it as a news outlet for information solely on him however. Click picture for site.
Wilmar’s site is pleasing to the eye, and by using a search engine you can easily find images containing things you’d like to use. This allows for much more ease of use than regular galleries. Click picture for site.
Digital Portfolio, Website review
Three travel photographer’s websites to review and examine the style on.
Dario Endara has a wonderful use of color and design on his website, and the music playing in the background is a wonderful touch. The site itself is made by Miguel Endara. The short intro to Dario’s site is very plain however. Click the image to go to his site.
Remi Benali’s website is simple and functional, the best part being that it draws attention to the colorful examples of his work and not to the site itself. The design is by Didier Laget. The news on the front page is a nice touch for return visitors. Click the image to go to his site.
Darwin Wiggett’s site is very spartan and functional, emphasizing his work with the changing main image. The design is by WideRange Galleries. The introduction is a bit generic, but again draws emphasis to his colorful images rather than the site itself. Click the image to go to the site.
