So, here it is at last. This is the link to my splash page for my website, and the culmination of everything I’ve done for Digital Portfolio here at UCMO in 2010. It has four sample galleries of work from various classes, my UK trip, and so on. The design is meant to be simple and easy to read, and once I’m working professionally I’ll probably go in and add lots of new content to browse as well as overhauling the contact and about section. I’ll probably also add in a page for videos since working on the one for class was a lot of fun, and the Canon Rebel t1i makes really great videos. For that video, look one post back under the digital portfolio category here on the blog. I also have a music video with images from my three years here at school, so you should check that out as well. Feel free to drop me a comment about my site, and if you like anything I’m always willing to talk. I hope you enjoy William Hill Photography’s website.

Editorial Screen Capture assignment 2

Editorial portraits

Steve Puppe, working in editorial portraiture, has a characteristic motion blur effect. This, along with highly saturated photos, create a distinct visual impression of his work.

Editorial Fashion

Stephen Dantzig’s editorial fashion photography uses local models and local locales to bring out the unique feeling of the tropical Hawaiian setting. This, combined with the choice of clothing, expresses the fashion as being best suited for his locale.

Editorial Event

Rick Olivier’s editorial event photography combines muted color palettes and unique New Orleans situations to bring about a nostalgic feeling to each piece of work.

Editorial screen capture assigment 1.

Lincoln Barbour editorial fitness screen capture

Screen capture of Lincoln Barbour’s editorial health and fitness photography.  Barbour’s photography is characteristically light, people oriented, and focused on showing life and activity in a positive manner. There seems to be a predisposition towards highly detailed compositions.

Nick Adams sport editorial screen capture

Screen capture of Nick Adams’ editorial sports photography. Adams’ sports photography uses limited color ranges in composition, nearly half of them are in black and white. Compositions range from close shots of groups to expansive shots of single subjects.

Daemon Baizan food screen capture

Screen capture of Editorial Food by photographer Daemon Baizan. Baizan’s food photography uses close compositions, varied color ranges, and exotic subjects.
